The Technical Committee, represented by the Education Department, organized a workshop on building curricula for training courses for goalkeeper coaches, the local introductory level and the Asian levels B and A.
The workshop was held over 3 days, with the participation of Ernest Joseph, European lecturer, Nasser Larjit, Technical Director of the Saudi Federation, Yahya Al-Sharif, Director of Education in the Federation, Samia Al-Sassi, Assistant Technical Director, Jassim Al-Harbi and Hamad Al-Yami, AFC lecturers, Alaa Rawas, Turki Al-Sultan, Farid Asiri and Suleiman Al-Issa, lecturers. In the Saudi Federation, Bruno Valatconi, the goalkeeper coach for the youth teams, and David Paryak, the fitness coach for the youth teams, also participated via video call, Jose Carpio, director of the technical department for football development services in the AFC.
Participants in the workshop contributed to presenting a vision of the Saudi Football Association’s curriculum for goalkeeper courses, as the attendees agreed on the structure and topics presented in the courses, evaluation methods for learners, and admission criteria for learners, lecturers, and assistant lecturers.
