Spain’s Antonio Cazorla, coach of the first football team, Al-Ittifaq, acknowledged his responsibility for the loss against Al-Hilal 0-3, on Saturday, in the 21st round of the Saudi Roshen League, refusing that the absences that his team suffered from were a reason for losing the three points.
The loss is the first for the Spaniard Cazorla, after defeating Al-Raed 2-1 and drawing with Al-Wahda 1-1, after assuming the job to succeed French Patrice Carteron, who was dismissed from his position due to poor results.
Cazorla said in the press conference after the end of the match: “We faced a strong and unusual opponent, and we tried, but we were not successful, and I am the one who bears this result for sure.”
Regarding the impact of the absence of a number of his players from the confrontation, the Spanish coach replied: “The absences are significant, but they were not the cause of this loss.”
