Atlanta, United States of America (CNN) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed, on Friday, that despite all the hardships resulting from the war, 2023 will be the year of Ukraine’s victory in its struggle against Russia.
Zelensky said in a tweet on Twitter: “On February 24, millions of us chose not to raise the white flag, but the blue and yellow flag, and not to flee, but to confront, fight and resist.”
Zelensky’s tweet comes on the first anniversary of Russia’s start of its invasion against his country and the invasion of several areas in eastern Ukraine.
Zelensky continued, saying: “It was the year of pain, grief, faith and unity, and we were not defeated in this year. We know that the year 2023 will be the year of our victory,” as he put it.
