On Friday, the Cameroonian Football Federation summoned Abha goalkeeper David Ibiasi and Collins Fay, right-back for Al-Tai, in a list of 34 players in preparation for two matches against Namibia in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The list also included Vincent Abu Bakr, the former Al-Nasr striker, and the current Turkish Besiktas, as well as Elliot, the 20-year-old young player, who is a professional in the ranks of Chelsea.
Cameroon will host Namibia on March 23, and five days later it will be a guest in Johannesburg.
Namibia plays its matches in neighboring South Africa because its stadiums do not meet international standards.
The confrontation with Namibia will be the first for the “untamed lions” since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when its most prominent result was the victory over Brazil, but it failed to pass the group stage.
