Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Saudi national football team announced, on Tuesday, that it will play two friendly matches in March, in the team’s first appearance after the World Cup in Qatar.
And it was decided that Al-Akhdar will face Venezuela and Bolivia, on the 24th and 28th of next month, on the grounds of Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, in the city of Jeddah.
The Saudi national team is preparing to compete in the 2023 Asian Cup finals, which will be held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Al-Akhdar had finished his participation in the 2022 World Cup in fourth and final place on the ladder of Group C standings, with 3 points, after a historic victory over Argentina and a loss against Poland and Mexico.
Frenchman Hervé Renard will continue to lead the Saudi national team during the next stage, as he has a contract with the team until 2027.
