Tehran talks about the location of the meeting between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani made statements about the agreement reached by Saudi Arabia and Iran, in China, to restore diplomatic relations and reopen the two embassies in the two countries within a maximum period of two months, and he also talked about the importance of the relationship between Iran And Egypt.

Kanaani said in statements, on Monday, regarding the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Beijing, that “the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia and Iran are working to prepare for contacts and meetings between the foreign ministers of the two countries, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and Hussein Amir Abdullahian, and we hope that this will take place in the near future, based on on the existing good intentions,” he was quoted by the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA).

Kanaani added, “Plannings in this regard are underway through diplomatic channels, and agreements in this regard will be announced when the time comes.”

Regarding the location of the meeting between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran, the spokesman said, “There is no obstacle to holding a meeting and direct dialogue between the foreign ministers of the two countries in both Saudi Arabia and Iran,” according to the ISNA news agency.

Kanani stated that “the recent agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran had a very positive impact in various fields, and we witnessed a wide interaction of this agreement by different countries,” and qht: “This positive development can happen with regard to other countries in the region, including Bahrain, We must have more confidence in the path of diplomacy.”

On Iranian-Egyptian relations, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said: “Egypt is an important country in the region, and the region needs synergy between Iran and Egypt, and we believe in taking new steps to improve relations.”

Kanaani stressed: “There are good talks between Iran and the Libyan government, and recently, Iran’s non-resident ambassador held a meeting with the Libyan Foreign Minister, about expanding relations between the two countries, and resuming the work of their embassies in Tehran and Tripoli, and we hope to witness the activities of the embassies of the two countries in Tehran and Tripoli in the future.” .
