Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Syrian Ministry of Defense said, on Wednesday, that an “Israeli aggression” targeted Aleppo International Airport in northern Syria and caused “some material damage.”
The Syrian Ministry of Defense said in a statement that Israel fired “several missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia, targeting the vicinity of Aleppo International Airport, causing material damage to the airport,” adding that the attack took place at 3:55 a.m. local time, and it was not immediately clear. Whether there were casualties at the airport.
For its part, the Israeli army told CNN, on Wednesday, that it would not comment on reports by foreign media.
It is noteworthy that earlier this March, Syria said that Israel carried out an air attack targeting Aleppo International Airport, causing material damage to the airport and stopping it from service.
