Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – After his launch into space, the Emirati astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, wrote a tweet, Thursday, in which he confirmed that he would speak to his followers and his family from the International Space Station, asking everyone to “remember him in their prayers.”
Al-Neyadi wrote on Twitter: “The next time I speak to you, I will be, God willing, on board the International Space Station,” he said.
And the Emirati astronaut continued, saying: “I will speak to you with the UAE flag on my arms… and in my heart.”
Al-Neyadi continued in the same tweet, saying: “Your invitations and a meeting near space… your brother Sultan Al-Neyadi.”
The “Dragon” spacecraft carrying Al Neyadi and his colleagues on the “Crew 6” mission to the International Space Station aboard the “Falcon 9” rocket launched from the Kennedy Space Station in Florida, USA, on Thursday.
The process of separating the vehicle from the missile succeeded within the second stage of the launch, heading to the International Space Station, where the mission will extend for 6 months.
