In chaotic scenes caught on a lawmaker’s camera, a debate among Georgia lawmakers over a controversial law that requires any organization that receives more than 20% of its funding from abroad to register as a “foreign agent” has degenerated into a physical fight between lawmakers. More than 60 civil society organizations and media outlets said they would not abide by the law if it was passed.
Various foreign governments and international groups have expressed concerns about the bill.
