Sergio Aguero raises controversy about the future of Lionel Messi: He is considering moving to this club

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Sergio Aguero, the former Argentine national team player, raised the controversy over the future of his compatriot Lionel Messi, the French star of Paris Saint-Germain.

Aguero, who retired from football due to a heart condition, is considered a close friend of Messi, and they had previously played together in “tango” ranks for a number of years.

Messi’s contract with the Parisian club expires at the end of the 2022/23 season, and press reports stated that the Argentine star does not wish to renew his contract.

While other reports said that the Spanish club Barcelona is working to restore Messi, next summer, at a time when the American club, Inter Miami, is seeking to include the winner of the 2022 World Cup.

“Lionel Messi is seriously considering playing for Newell’s Old Boys,” Aguero told UOL, according to Eurosport.

Messi had started his football career in the age groups of Newell’s Old Boys Club, before joining the Catalan team’s academy.

For his part, former Argentine player Maxi Rodriguez was quick to calm Aguero’s allegations, saying: “Kun is Kun, he cannot be silent, we’ll see,” according to Eurosport.

He continued, “It is difficult to talk about this, because then a giant ball of rumors is created, let’s wait and see what happens, we will not get ahead of the facts.”
