Saudi Arabia sends 186 tons of aid to Ukraine via Poland

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sent two relief planes carrying 186 tons of aid to Ukraine, via Poland, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), on Friday.

And “SPA” reported that the two planes left King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, on Friday morning, heading to the Polish Zusov Airport, near the Ukrainian border.

She added that the cargo of the two planes includes “sheltering materials, electric generators, in addition to medical supplies”, and will be transported across Poland’s borders into Ukraine.

Last week, the Saudi authorities announced a $400 million humanitarian aid package for Ukraine.

The Kingdom has also previously provided urgent medical and shelter aid worth $10 million to refugees from Ukraine to neighboring countries, especially Poland, in coordination with the Polish government and United Nations organizations, according to SPA.
