The Portuguese Nuno Santo, the coach of the first football team of Al-Ittihad, bemoaned the 0-0 draw with Al-Raed, in the “Foundation Day” round competitions, the 18th of the Saudi Roshen League, attributing the absence of victory to the players’ lack of the final touch.
The Al-Jeddawi team jumped to the lead temporarily with 41 points, but it may return to second place, two points behind Al-Nasr, “40 points”, if the latter wins over Damak, on Saturday.
Santo said during the press conference after the end of the confrontation: “We dominated the match, and the players performed well, but we missed the final touch, and the lack of effectiveness was the reason for the draw.”
Santo wished the injured players to return in the next match, adding, “All players in the team are important, and our goal in the technical staff is to bring out the best in them.”
