Rummenigge does not expect Neuer to be dispensed with

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, former CEO of Bayern Munich, confirmed that he does not believe that the club will dispense with the services of injured goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in the summer.
Rummenigge said in an interview with the newspaper “Bild”, which was published on Saturday: “The mutual respect is very strong, each party knows the value of the other to him.”
Neuer, who has a contract with Bayern Munich until June 2024, is working to return after suffering an injury that ended his season, while skiing during the vacation period.
Rummenigge said: “I met Neuer recently, and he gave me a very good impression. He still has great ambition, and I am confident that he will return to participate in the ranks of Bayern.”
Rummenigge added that he hopes to see Neuer lead the German national team in the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024), which Germany will host.
