England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has signed a long-term contract with Everton, until June 2027, according to what his club announced on Friday.
This extension put an end to rumors of the 28-year-old’s transfer to one of the teams competing for the English Premier League title, after he entered the last 12 months of the five-year contract signed with Everton in the summer of 2017.
Pickford, who moved from Sunderland in 2017 for $ 36 million, played more than 200 matches with the blue pole of Liverpool.
The team that signed former Burnley coach Sean Dyche at the end of last January occupies the sixteenth place in the “Premier League” standings, a point away from the relegation zone.
