North Korea launches two cruise missiles from a submarine in response to US-South Korean maneuvers

In the beginning, North Korea said that it had launched two cruise missiles from a submarine, which is a new efficiency in its military capabilities that it can exploit in the event of any conflict, and this comes with the start of the United States and South Korea joint military exercises near the North Korean border.

The missile submarine test came ahead of the scheduled joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States, which kicked off today near the North Korean border. It is the largest exercise between the two countries in 5 years.

It also comes just three days after Kim oversaw a short-range ballistic missile launch, with his youngest daughter, believed to be around 9 years old and named Kim Ju-e, who often appeared with her father.

But analysts point out that South Korean intelligence recently said Kim also has an older son who has not been seen in public.
