Surveillance camera video shows the last moments before the death of Ervo Otieno, 28, at Virginia State Hospital. Otieno is shown in shackles, while the police forcefully usher him into a room.
After several minutes, Otieno rolled onto his back while several police officers and others seemed to hold him down with their knees, and after 15 minutes of pinning him to the ground, Otieno’s body did not seem to respond.
Seven Henrico County Sheriffs and three hospital employees have been charged with second-degree murder.
