Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann decided to put Thomas Muller in the starting line-up for the team in its match against Union Berlin, while Sadio Mane will return to the team after a long absence due to injury.
Nagelsmann said in a press conference today, Friday, that Mueller was not happy to change him early in the Borussia Monchengladbach match that was held last week, after Dayot Obamecano got the red card early in the match.
“Thomas is a player with a lot of experience and I explained to him why I made this decision,” Nagelsmann said. He is a very professional player and an important member of the team. He will start Sunday’s game.
As for Mane, the Bayern coach said, “He will not be ready to start the match, but we are happy that he will be an option again,” and added, “This match will be very early for Nassir Mazraoui.”
Bayern Munich tops the league table with 43 points, with a goal difference against Borussia Dortmund and Union Berlin, who are second and third, respectively.
Bayern Munich wasted many points after drawing in three consecutive matches since the beginning of this year, and losing to Mönchengladbach last Saturday.
