“K” sets the date for the start of the African Cup of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced, on Thursday, the start date for the next edition of the African Nations Cup on January 13, 2024 in Ivory Coast.
The tournament was supposed to be held in June of this year, but it was postponed 6 months due to concerns about the weather in West Africa at this time.
CAF said in a statement that the Hassan Ouattara stadium in Abidjan will host the opening match, while the final will be held on February 11.
Four teams have already qualified for the finals – defending champions Senegal, Morocco, Algeria and South Africa – through the qualifiers this month.
The tournament will be held in Ivory Coast for the second time after the 1984 edition, when Cameroon won the title.
The lottery will be drawn next September after the completion of the qualification of 24 teams.
