Danilo, the defender of the Brazilian national football team, has extended his contract with his Italian team, Juventus, until 2025, according to what the Turin giants announced Thursday.
Juventus said: “Danilo extended his contract until 2025. Therefore, his story with the Bianconeri continues. He could not be happier.” He added: “His adventure with Juventus began three and a half years ago and we came a long way with us, always beside each other, and this is confirmed by the statistics: 142 matches, including 128 as a starter. Danny has always put the interest of the team above all else.”
The 31-year-old joined Juventus in August 2019 from Manchester City, England, in a five-year deal for 37 million euros, which included the Italian club’s abandonment of Portuguese Joao Cancelo in favor of the “Citizens”.
With Juventus, Danilo won the Italian League title in the 2019-2020 season, in addition to the Italian Cup in the following season and the Super Cup in 2020.
The Brazilian began his European career in Porto, Portugal, where he played from 2011 to 2015 before joining Real Madrid for two seasons, where he won the league in 2017, the European Champions League in 2016 and 2017, the European Super Cup, and the Club World Cup in 2016, until he joined City in the summer of 2017 on his way. To win with him the Premier League title twice and the same in the League Cup, in addition to the English Cup once.
