It is not made by humans.. What is the secret of this natural slide in a valley in the Sultanate of Oman?

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – In the summer season, there is a lot of sea going, and many young people and families go to the beaches to enjoy the water and spend quality time.

However, there are also many other hidden gems in Oman, specifically in the Wilayat of Rustaq, that have not gained their share of fame. Here, we are not talking about the beaches of the state only, but also its valleys.

At first you might think that summer might be a bit too hot for trekking through the valleys of the country.

However, the “summer slide” experience is among the adventures that must not be missed in the Sultanate of Oman. (Watch the video clip above).

And between the arms of Wadi Bani Awf, specifically in the Valley of the Snakes, there is a winding rocky slope that you can slide on, until you finally jump into a warm water pool.

The Omani adventurer, Muhannad Al Kharousi, documents the “summer slide” experience with a group of his young friends.

He describes his experience as “extraordinary, different and special for adventure lovers”, from zip lining to swimming in the waterways.

In fact, many of Al Kharousi’s followers, who number more than 90,000 on Instagram, were surprised to find such a place in Oman.

Al-Kharousi said in an interview with CNN in Arabic: “It is preferable to visit the place with one of the specialized teams that provide all safety rules for going down into the valley.”

The Omani adventurer advises trying the slide in the summer to enjoy the refreshment of the cool water.

The adventures of the Snake Valley in the Sultanate of Oman are really fun, according to Al-Kharousi, as there are many different terrains available, between mountains, seas and valleys, from north to south.

But, does naming the valley mean that it is really full of snakes?

In a previous interview with CNN in Arabic, the Directorate General of Tourism Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman stated, in an e-mail, that it was so named because of “the way the valley twists, which resembles the shape of a snake,” as its unique shape resulted from the effect of water passing through the mountains.
