Injury ends Kimpembe’s season with Paris

French football club Paris Saint-Germain announced the absence of first-team defender Presnel Kimpembe until the end of the season, after he suffered a severed Achilles tendon.
Frenchman Kimpembe left the field during his team’s match against Marseille due to a hamstring injury, on a stretcher in the first half, two weeks after he returned to play after three months of absence.
Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement: “He will undergo surgery in the coming days,” while his coach, Fabien Galtier, said, “His season is over.”
