For the first time since 2006, Cristiano Ronaldo is out of the world’s best players

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from the ideal formation of the 11 most prominent players in the world during the year 2022, announced by the International Federation of Football Associations “FIFA” in cooperation with the International Professional Association “FIFPRO”.

The 38-year-old Portuguese star has been in the perfect formation for the past fifteen years in a row, alongside his rival, Paris Saint-Germain player Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo did not gain enough votes to reserve a place next to the best players around the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo left the continent of Europe in late December, to wear the shirt of the Saudi club Al-Nasr, with a contract for two seasons until 2025.

While the formation included:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois.

Defense: Ashraf Hakimi, Van Dyck, Cancelo.

Midfield: Casemiro, De Bruyne, Modric.

Attack: Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, Erling Haaland.
