Hamid Rajbi, coach of the first Iranian football team, Foolad Khuzestan, described Al Hilal as “very strong”, stressing that Argentine coach Ramon Diaz surprised him in the match, after losing to him with a goal without a response in the quarter-finals of the 2022 AFC Champions League, Thursday.
The Iranian coach said in a press conference after the match: “We analyzed the Al-Hilal team, and we knew how they would play the match, but they changed their tactics.”
He added, “Al-Hilal is a very strong team with strong players, and I thank my players for their levels in this match.”
The Iranian team lost to Al-Hilal in the last breath of the original match, when Malian Musa Marija, the defending champion, scored the only goal of the match at the 87th minute.
