The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) unanimously agreed to organize an annual club competition that includes the continental champions, starting in 2024.
The new competition came in conjunction with the expected change that will take place in the FIFA Club World Cup after the 2023 edition, and given the desire of the continental federations to match the clubs crowned the most important continental championships with the aim of raising the level of competitiveness, according to what was published by the FIFA account on its official website, on Tuesday.
The champions of the most important tournament in each continent are scheduled to participate in the qualifiers, with the exception of the European champion, who will meet the qualified team from the continental qualifiers in the final, in a neutral land.
