The first German soccer team, Borussia Dortmund, may miss the efforts of its goalkeeper, Gregor Coppel, in its match against Chelsea, England, in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, due to a muscle problem in the thigh.
According to the “Ruhr Nachrichten” newspaper, the goalkeeper has little hope of participating in the English team after conducting preliminary examinations, and Dortmund has an advantage in the result, as it won the first leg with a clean goal.
Copil missed the match, which Dortmund won 2-1 over Leipzig, on Friday, after he complained of muscle problems during the warm-up.
Last year he was ruled out for several weeks with a similar injury, so the club didn’t want to take any chances.
Goalkeeper Alexander Meyer, who played against RB Leipzig, is expected to start the match in London.
