Cristiano Ronaldo on Leaving Manchester United and Joining Al-Nassr: I’m Better Now

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Player Cristiano Ronaldo said that he is “now better” after leaving English club Manchester United and joining Saudi club Al-Nasr.

The 38-year-old Portuguese star left the ranks of the “Red Devils” after he attacked coach Eric Ten Hag and the team’s management, before moving to the “Al-Alamy” team in late December for two seasons until 2025.

Ronaldo spoke, in a press conference, saying: “Sometimes, you have to go through some things to see who is standing next to you,” adding: “I have no problem saying, I have had bad times in my career, but there is no time for regrets, life goes on, Whether you’re doing well or not, that’s been part of my development,” according to Eurosport.

He added, “When we are on top of the mountain, we often cannot see what is below. Now, I am more prepared and I know that this was important, because I had not been through this before, as in the past few months, now I am better.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and his companions are preparing to face the Liechtenstein national team and the Luxembourg national team on the 23rd and 26th, respectively, of this month, in the “Euro 2024” qualifiers, in the team’s first appearance after the 2022 World Cup.

Ronaldo played 5 matches, most of them as a substitute in the Qatar World Cup 2022, during which he scored one goal.

The star of the Saudi club is considered the player who scored the most goals with his country in international matches, as he has a score of 118 goals after appearing in 196 matches.
