The first Al-Taawon football team regained its winning streak after two losses and a draw after its valuable victory over its counterpart Dhamak, its host, 2-1 during the match that brought them together on Saturday, at the latter’s stadium in Khamis Mushait in the 19th round of the Saudi Roshan League.
The Al-Qassim team took the lead through Cameroonian Leander Tawamba in the 27th minute, and Fahd Al-Rashidi strengthened the score by scoring the second goal in the 48th minute, and Mansour Hamzi, the Damak player, narrowed the difference by scoring a goal in the 56th minute, but he did not prevent his team from avoiding the third loss in a row.
With this result, Al-Taawoun raised its score to 34 points, and rose to fourth place temporarily, pending the outcome of the “33-point” match against Al-Fateh, which was postponed from the 18th round.
On the other hand, Dhamak remained in ninth place with 22 points, after he was unable to win the fifth match in a row, “4 defeats and a draw.” His last victory dates back to round 14, when he won Al-Fateh by 3-1.
Al-Taawoun will host its counterpart Al-Hilal on Friday, and Dhamak will be a guest on Al-Tai, on Saturday, in the 20th round of the league.
