The Spanish club Elche announced, on Tuesday, the appointment of Argentine Sebastian Bekasese as coach of its first football team, to succeed Pablo Machin, who was dismissed from his position, on Monday.
Bekasisi became Elche’s fourth coach this season, after Machin, Francisco Rodriguez and Argentine Jorge Almiron.
The task of Bekasisi, who held the position of assistant coach for his compatriot Jorge Sampaoli during the latter’s supervision of the national teams of his country and Chile, will be clear, which is to avoid relegation to the second degree.
The task seems difficult, since the club has won only two matches so far this season, and is in last place, 14 points behind Espanyol, who is in the last seventeenth place, “27 points,” which keeps its owner in the first division.
Elche has 13 points, compared to 26 for Valencia and Almeria, who are in the eighteenth and nineteenth places, respectively, and lead to the second division as well.
