Before the Dubai Championships.. Djokovic celebrates a record

Novak Djokovic revealed that he no longer feels any pain after recovering from a hamstring injury, as he prepares to compete in the Dubai Tennis Championships this week, after winning the Australian Open title for the tenth time last month.
Djokovic begins the Dubai Championship after entering his 378th week overall at the top of the world rankings, overtaking Germany’s Steffi Graf, as the most top-ranking player in the game.
Djokovic suffered a hamstring tear on his way to winning the tournament in Adelaide, before claiming his 22nd Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park to level with Rafael Nadal.
The 35-year-old Serbian confirmed that he was not sure until a few days ago that he would participate in the Dubai Championship, but he passed all the fitness tests.
“I spent two weeks without playing tennis,” Djokovic said.
He added, “I have not felt pain on the field for a week.. I have approached 100 percent readiness and am still far from matches and the sensitivity of being on the field, but the important thing is not to feel pain. There is no obstacle standing in the way of my movement on the field ».
Djokovic will meet Czech Tomas Machak in the first round on Tuesday.
