Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Player Mohamed Salah said that he aspires to be Liverpool’s historic top scorer in the English Premier League, expressing his happiness at achieving individual and collective achievements with the “Reds”.

The Egyptian star occupies the second place in the list of Liverpool’s top scorers in the Premier League, with 127 goals, only one goal behind former player Robbie Fowler.

The Pharaohs striker spoke to Sky Sports about the possibility of achieving this record, saying, “I am aware of the records, especially this record,” adding, “For me, it is really special, when I came in, after my first season, I had 31 goals I thought I wanted to be the top scorer for Liverpool in the Premier League, it’s something I’m really chasing.”

He continued, “I have some good records with the team, to be fair, as long as we achieve something with the team, this is the most important thing for me. I am very happy and proud to break records and win titles in a team like Liverpool.”

Mohamed Salah (30 years) contributed to scoring 14 goals in the Premier League this season, as he scored 9 goals and assisted 5.
