Bayern Munich announced, on Tuesday, the renewal of its partnership with the insurance company “Allianz” for another ten years, ending in 2033, and it was reported that the total value of the partnership contract amounted to 130 million euros (139 million dollars).
The partnership between Bayern Munich and Allianz began in 2000, as the insurance company holds the nominal rights to the Bavarian club’s stadium, which opened in 2005, and the company has also sponsored the club’s women’s team shirt since 2013.
Allianz has acquired a stake in Bayern Munich since 2014, with 8.33 percent of the total shares, the same percentage owned by Audi and Adidas sports products.
Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn said: “FC Bayern attaches great importance to reliable and sustainable partnerships. So we are very happy to continue our cooperation with Allianz.”
He added, “We can look back at a common success story of more than 20 years, to which we want to add more new and innovative chapters.”
Bayern Munich said that “Allianz” plans a free, individual training course for aspiring female athletes between the ages of 18 and 22, starting next season.
