The Australian national football team regained its balance by defeating Iran 3-2 during the match that brought them together, on Saturday, at the Independence Stadium, in Fergana, in the second round of Group Two of the AFC U-20 Youth Championship in Uzbekistan.
The goals of the Australian team were scored by Aidan Simmons in the eighth minute and Adrian Segesic (two goals) (19) and (56), while the goals of the Iranian team were scored by Amir Reza Islamtalab and Ali Reza Anaytzadeh in the 25th and 80th minutes.
Later today, Vietnam will meet Qatar at the same stadium.
Vietnam leads the group standings with 3 points from one match, with a difference in direct confrontations against Australia and Iran, while Qatar’s balance is still devoid of points.
