(CNN) — A year after the Russian invasion, the United States still leads the world in bilateral aid sent to Ukraine, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a German think tank that tracks more than $150 billion in aid to Ukraine from January 2022. Until January 15th of this year.
US commitments, including financial, humanitarian and military aid, have exceeded $70 billion, more than the European Union member states and institutions combined, which are close to $55 billion.
