Al-Qadisiyah first football team stopped a series of 12 consecutive matches without losing to its counterpart, Riyadh, after it came from behind in front of it to beat it with a score of “2-1”, on Tuesday, at the latter’s stadium in the 23rd round of the Yellow League for first-class clubs.
Riyadh started the match perfectly after opening the scoring early through Brazilian Diego Miranda at the 13th minute, but the joy of its players lasted only two minutes, as Al-Qadisiyah soon succeeded in adjusting the score through the Congolese Walter Bwalia 15.
And while the match was heading towards a tie, the Congolese hit Bwalya again by scoring the second goal for Al-Qadisiyah, giving his team three precious points (85).
With this result, Al-Qadisiyah regained its winning streak after the absence of two “draw and loss” rounds, raising its tally to 25 points in 15th place.
On the other hand, Riyadh suffered its seventh loss in the current season, and the first in 4 months, as its last loss was against Al-Hazm “1-2” in the tenth round, after which it played 12 matches, during which it achieved 11 wins and one draw, to freeze its score at 44 points and fall back to fourth place.
Al-Qadisiyah will host its counterpart Al-Hazm, on Monday, and Riyadh will meet Al-Arabi on the same day, in the 24th round of the league.
