The date is renewed between the Al-Hilal first football team and its Al-Fateh counterpart for the second time in a week, when they meet on Tuesday, at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, in the quarter-final round of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
The match carries with it all the factors of excitement and clubbing, as was the case with their previous matches, the most recent of which was last Monday, which ended in favor of Al-Fateh with a score of 1-2, in a postponed match from the 18th round of the Saudi Roshan League.
And that loss lost the Al-Assimy team three important points in its campaign to defend the league title, which it will try to avoid during today’s meeting, especially since any result other than winning means leaving it empty-handed from the most expensive tournaments for the third season in a row, as its last crowning of the title dates back to 2020 when it defeated Victory 2-1 in the final.
The Al-Hilali team enters the match with high spirits after its sweeping victory over Al-Taawoun by 4-0 in the league, restoring its balance after stumbling over a draw and losing in the last two matches.
On the other hand, Al-Fateh is going through a good period, sympathetic to its levels and results in the recent period, and the ambitions of its players seem great to repeat the victory over Al-Azraq, and to go to the farthest possible point in the championship.
Al-Hilal qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Al-Ettifaq 4-0, while Al-Fateh reached the same round at the expense of Al-Tai 7-6 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
