A vegetarian diet is a relatively new concept in Qatar, although few food options with plant-based ingredients have been available for only a few years. But Ghanem Al-Sulaiti, 29, saw an opportunity to change that reality.
Despite facing a society unaccustomed to his vegan lifestyle, in 2016 he launched Evergreen Organics, the first vegan café in Qatar. Today, it has expanded its scope of work and now has 3 branches, and has become a popular destination for residents.
