(CNN) — The United States announced, on Friday, a new military aid package to Ukraine amounting to $400 million.
The US administration has provided aid to Kiev totaling more than $32 billion since the start of the Russian invasion more than a year ago.
“This package features more missiles, ammunition and armored vehicles,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
CNN reported earlier on Friday key details of the package, such as the armored vehicles carrying bridges used to cross trenches and water obstacles.
Last week, the United States announced $2 billion in aid.
Ukrainian officials are demanding access to the F-16 fighter jets, which US President Joe Biden and other Western leaders have so far opposed.
