On Saturday afternoon, Maryland residents, who live along Route 15 and Frederick, were rocked by a massive explosion of a fuel tanker truck, killing the driver and damaging 5 cars and 6 homes.
More than 100 firefighters were called to the scene. A house was completely destroyed, leaving a family homeless.
Fire officials say they were able to prevent fuel from leaking into the sewage system and that firefighting crews are now monitoring the environmental effects of the blast.
